One stage-One unbelievable night that will truly show the world how "Detroit Performs." On September 18, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. some of Detroit's best artists and performers will come together for Detroit Performs LIVE-a unique live broadcast and online streamed event brought to you by Detroit Public Television (DPTV) in partnership with IXITI and Culture Source and funded by the Masco Foundation.

Hosted by popular jazz flutist Alexander Zonjic, who will also serve as music director, the event will showcase beloved Detroit stars such as Jessica Hernandez, Bettye LaVette and Ty Stone, as well as a mix of vocalists, instrumentalists and musicians and some PBS favorites, such as ROXANNA and Italian tenor, Pasquale Esposito-all live on stage. In addition, an interactive gallery will bring together some of Detroit's best established and emerging artists in various art forms, such as sculpting, photography, drawing, and more.

Join us at the VIP event beginning at 6:30 p.m., which will include a cocktail reception and online streaming of the red carpet and gallery performances. D.J. Oliver, host of the Detroit Performs TV series, Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m., will emcee the live streaming of the red carpet and gallery performances pre-show event starting at 7:30 p.m. See artwork by sculptor Austen Brantley, visual artists Dominic Pangborn and Peter Coe, photographer Amy Sacka, hear the Vision Male Vocal Ensemble from the Detroit School of Arts, and enjoy an "art action" experience with Daniel Cascardo. VIP packages include an after-glow party with a performance by Detroit funk band The Third Coast Kings. (General seating tickets are also available).

At 8 p.m., Alexander Zonjic and friends take the stage for the live broadcast. The concert will later be edited to a one-hour program for broadcast on PBS stations nationwide. Purchase your tickets here: bit.ly/DPLIVE.
