Detroit couples are sure to roar again with laughter, share knowing glances, and ask "Could comedy give couples therapy a run for its money?" With hilarious insight on contemporary feminism, masculine sensitivity and the erogenous zones, Defending the Caveman will once again mine the common themes in relationships that go straight to the funny bone while warming the heart during its returned engagement at the City Theatre for a limited nine performances Thursday, May 15 through Sunday, May 25. Defending the Caveman will make audiences laugh at themselves and about all the ways that men and woman fight, laugh and love.

Caveman's "outrageously funny and surprisingly sweet exploration of the gender gap" (Chicago Sun Times) has made it "a comic phenomenon" (New York Times) that has won the hearts of millions in more than 35 countries and is sure to win yours.

Written by comedian Rob Becker, over a three year period that included an informal study of psychology, sociology, and prehistory, Defending the Caveman is full of wonderful scenarios that celebrate the differences between men and women, making it the perfect entertainment option for couples, or a girls night out.

Defending the Caveman will be performed by Vince Valentine. A Philadelphia native, Vince made his stage debut when he was 11 years old at his cousin Anthony's First Holy Communion with his now legendary comedy bit "Uncle Dominic at the Racetrack". Fast forward to his 30's, and after taking Paul J. Solari's Stand-Up Comedy Workshop, Vince began performing at comedy clubs along the east coast.

Vince has starred as Christopher and toured throughout the United States in "The Soapranos", an interactive parody of the HBO TV series. He has also starred in "Joey and Maria's Italian Wedding" and "'The Godfathers' Meshuggener Wedding." Vince was selected from 1,500 actors as one of five finalists for NBC10's "Best Summer Gig Ever Traffic Contest". He also made a guest appearance on "NBC 10! Live" as a panel guest soon after. Vince has appeared in the independent film that he co-wrote and starred in, "Shut Up And Eat." He was a finalist in Philadelphia's 93.3 WMMR's "Philly's Last Comic Standing" and appeared in the Philadelphia Fringe Festival as a member of the Sketch Comedy Troupe "Skitzoids".

Defending the Caveman is produced by Theater Mogul - a global theatrical production company with shows in more than 30 countries performed in over 16 different languages. Theater Mogul's main offices are located in New York City, Zurich and Reykjavik.
