Cirque Dreams Illumination and Broadway Grand Rapids Team Up To Make Aspiring Actor's Dreams Come True

DREAMS COME TRUE... Cirque Dreams Illumination and Broadway Grand Rapids have teamed up with WXMI TV to make one aspiring local performer's dream come true. Through an online video contest, Neil Goldberg, the shows creator and director reviewed many video submissions along with his design team and announced Thursday January 21st, that Zachary Coles from Holland, Michigan has been chosen to "Run Away with Cirque Dreams" and perform with Cirque Dreams Illumination when the show performs at DeVos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids, MI January 26th through 31st, 2010.
Zach is a 13 year old from Eagle Crest Charter Middle School whose passion is magic. Since Cirque Dreams Illumination opens with a magical sequence of amazing costumes and illusion changes, Zach is going to become part of these transformations and live out his dream of being a magician as part of this special magical Broadway experience here in Grand Rapids. He will have a customized costume created for his performance, rehearse with the cast and receive 6 complimentary tickets for his friends and family to attend his debut during the shows one week engagement at DeVos Hall.

"Zach's skills will enable us to create a unique magical role for him in the show" said Broadway producer and Cirque Dreams creator Goldberg. "His performance at DeVos Hall will captivate audiences as it did our creative team when he submitted his video to WXMI in Grand Rapids. "It's just passing the dream forward". Goldberg added, "I too was once that dreamer who imagined one day being part of a professional Broadway experience...now it's Zach's turn". Zach will be performing in the company of 30 other dreamers from around the world including "So You Think You Can Dance" phenomenon Robert Muraine.

As a student at Eagle Crest Charter Middle School, Zach performs his magic in school talent shows and will appear in his school play, May the Farce Be With You this March. He is a cross-country runner and will compete in state finals. His family attends New Life Fellowship in Holland, MI.
