Circle Theatre continues the Main Stage season in August of 2014 with the musical comedy MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT, running August 7 through 23. This hilarious musical with book and lyrics by Eric Idle and music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle is lovingly ripped off from the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. This Tony award winner for Best Musical retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features a bevy of beautiful showgirls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits, and French people. Did we mention the bevy of beautiful showgirls?
In conjunction with the production, Circle Theatre will be offering a FIND YOUR GRAIL Social Media Scavenger Hunt. The Holy Grail has been misplaced at a location somewhere in Grand Rapids. The Knights of the Round Table have requested that the peasants of West Michigan assist them in their quest for the Grail. Clues will be posted on the Circle Theatre Facebook and Twitter pages describing the location of several grails hidden in Grand Rapids during the week of July 28th. Participants will be eligible for a drawing to win two free tickets to a performance of Monty Python's Spamalot. The quest begins on Monday, July 28th and ends on Friday, August 1st. The winner will be announced on Monday, August 4th by virtue of a video announcement by Spamalot's own King Arthur.
