Center Stage Jackson has announced its 2016-2017 season.

The season will start in the fall with the main stage musical classic Fiddler on the Roof; Book by Joseph Stein, Music by Jerry Bock, Lyrics by Sheldon Harnick. Fiddler is the award-winning story of the long-suffering Tevye, his wife and their four daughters as they struggle to make a life in pre-revolutionary Russia. Six performances will be held November 4-6 and 11-13, 2016 at Jackson College's Potter Center.

Immediately following will be the youth theater play Alice@Wonderland by Jonathan Yukich. Three performances will be held November 18-20, 2016 at Jackson's First Presbyterian Church. This Alice is savvy with text messaging and social media but still doesn't know what to make of the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts and the whole Wonderland crew.

Rolling into the new year, the main stage play will be murder mystery And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. Back by popular demand, there will be nine dinner theater performances February 17-19, 24-26, and March 3-5, 2017 at the Sandhill Crane Vineyards. Based on the Agatha Christie masterpiece who done it, And Then There Were None tells a classic tale of mayhem and murder that will have you on the edge of your seat. The three additional performances will allow for roomier seating at each performance, and accommodate more patrons for this popular event.

The spring youth theater musical will be A Pirate's Life for Me; Book by Craig Sodaro, Music and Lyrics by Bill Francoeur. Partnering with Jackson Public Schools once again, three performances will be held March 24-26, 2017 at the Middle School at Parkside's Kiesel Auditorium. In A Pirate's Life Captain Blood meets the Pirate Queen but not everything is what it seems to be!

The summer main stage musical will be Shrek the Musical; Music by Jeanine Tesori, Book and Lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire, Based on the DreamWorks Animation Motion Picture and the book by William Steig. Shrek, everyone's favorite Ogre, yearns to be left alone but life has other plans for him. Six performances will be held June 9-11 and 16-18, 2017 at Jackson College's Potter Center.

Additional season events include the Annual Youth Singing Competition in January, annual themed cabaret in April, and various selections for the Reader's Theatre Series, dates to be announced.
