Center Stage Jackson is excited to announce the BBQ Cook-Off for Sound Fundraiser, to be held July 21st, 2018 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at 308 Brass Rail in Jackson (308 Prospect, Jackson MI 49203). Local businesses and organizations will be cooking up their best barbecue and sides for the public to judge. Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to purchase new microphones and audio equipment for Center Stage Jackson.

There is no fee to compete, and meat, buns, and plates are being provided by generous sponsors. Competitors need only to provide spices/sauces, a side dish, cooking method, and cooking utensils. First place by popular vote will receive $150.00, with the runner-up receiving $100.00. Competitors are still needed for this event, though space is limited. Any business or organization interested in competing should contact Wendy Lake at 517-745-0491 as soon as possible.

For the public, Tasting Tickets will cost $10.00 and include tickets to sample each competitor's barbecue, one vote for their favorite, and one drink ticket. A portion of any additional drink sales throughout the evening will also be donated to Center Stage Jackson. Tasting tickets will be sold at the door only, with cash, credit or debit.

The band Alibi, with Center Stage Jackson's own Karen Kidder and Steve Barrett, will be performing classic and contemporary rock LIVE on an outdoor stage from 4:00pm-7:00pm. The party will continue with more live entertainment inside 308 Brass Rail after 7:00pm!
