The cast has been announced for The Sauk's upcoming production of Sam and Jeanne Bobrick's "Weekend Comedy," the second of three outdoor productions happening this summer. Performances are August 13-16 at the Slayton Arboretum, located on Barber Drive, in Hillsdale.
In "Weekend Comedy," two New York couples discover that, due to a booking error, they've rented the same cottage for a three-day weekend. One couple, Frank and Peggy, is sedate and middle aged. The other, Tony and Jill, are free-wheeling and young. They decide to share the cabin. Before long, the comedic clash between the generations begins!
The cast consists of John Kasper as Frank, Sandi Miller as Peggy, Dylan Collier as Tony and Olivia Pike as Jill. All four actors have appeared in previous Sauk productions. The production is directed by Tami Hindes who directed last season's production of "The 39 Steps." The design team consists of Trinity Bird (set), Shannon Chen (costumes), Angela Forant (lighting) and Cyndi Baldermann (properties).
Performances of "Weekend Comedy" are August 13-15 at 8 p.m. A 3 p.m. matinee will be performed on August 16. All tickets are $10. The August 13 performance is a pay what you can preview performance.
