Cabaret 313 will open its third season this September, bringing extraordinary award-winning talents to Detroit -including two-time Tony Award nominee Christine Andreas for two performances- for an intimate evening of songs.

Andreas will be in Detroit for two same-day performances tonight, September 26, 2015 at the Players' Club Playhouse. She most recently starred on Broadway in "La Cage Aux Folles," and created the role of Marguerite St. Just in "The Scarlet Pimpernel." Andreas is performing her new one-woman show "be-Mused." She has lightheartedly modified the word 'bemused' to describe, "that musical spark that ignites when just the right singer and just the right songwriter collide."

Sandi Reitelman, who co-founded Cabaret 313 with Allan Nachman, said, "We brought Christine back by popular demand. Her remarkable performances epitomize the allure of cabaret, with selections that celebrate some of the greatest collaborations spanning the last century. Her show this September is sure to dazzle audiences."

Cabaret 313 opened its first season in 2013 and has received recognition for bringing internationally acclaimed talent to Detroit for intimate evenings of song. Andreas said, "I am honored to return to Detroit after three years to perform. It's amazing to see how Cabaret 313 has grown and the caliber of performances they have and continue to present. It speaks volumes to Sandi and Allen's dedication and true love of the art form."

Tickets are $125 for preferred seating, $60 for general seating, and $25 for ages 30 and under (limited seating available). All performances have two show times, 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. (except Alan Cumming's "Sings Sappy Songs" which has one performance at 8 p.m.). Doors open 45 minutes before show time, with hors d'oeuvres, desserts, beer and wine available. Tickets are available by visiting www.cabaret313.org.

Cabaret 313's all-star season has four other performances at intimate theatre spaces across Detroit. Ticket packages are available, offering a 10 percent discount for three shows (excluding Cumming), and can be purchased by calling 313-405-5061.

Please note: T. Oliver Reid's "Drop Me Off in Harlem" performance date has been changed from November 21 to November 7. The location of these performances, The Carr Center, remains the same. If current ticket holders cannot attend on November 7, Cabaret 313 will gladly provide a refund or credit. Contact the ticket office at Cabaret313@gmail.com to make arrangements.

Cabaret 313 is a non-profit organization born of the vision of Metro Detroiters Sandi Reitelman and Allan Nachman. Started in late 2012, they developed the plan to bring professional cabaret to the city of Detroit. Their thought was that cabaret could tap into and build on Detroit's increasing energy and vitality. It is an intimate genre in which the singer shares a story through song and often evokes both laughter and tears, and forges a connection between the artist and listeners. Performances are set in intimate spaces around Detroit.
