Broadway superstar and seminal soul artist MORGAN JAMES brings a signature retro R&B vibe to rock the Wharton Center stage in her East Lansing return. MORGAN JAMES, part of The Doctors Company Variety Series, will be featured on Sunday, December 6, 2015, in the Pasant Theatre.

Tickets to see MORGAN JAMES are available at the official source to purchase Wharton Center tickets online, whartoncenter.com, at the Auto-Owners Insurance Ticket Office, or by calling 1-800-WHARTON.

Born on Broadway and influenced on the divas of the genre, this "High Priestess of Soul" offers unique performances brimming with passion and heart. "I sing like I'm never going to sing again," MORGAN JAMES says of her one-of-a-kind style. With flashy good looks and a voice to match, audiences will be taken on a memorable ride through the runaway hits and highlights of her whirlwind career. Always sultry and eternally heart-wrenching, MORGAN JAMES has paved a career for herself through performances in such Broadway staples as The Addams Family, Godspell, and Motown: The Musical, as well as two solo albums - 2012's Morgan James Live and 2014's Hunter.

A true child of her generation, MORGAN JAMES garners millions of views on her YouTube uploads, collaborating with Postmodern Jukebox among others, to create an unpresented dent in the video streaming world. Her chillingly crisp voice paired with a vocal range of a true Broadway diva offers up another world of soul, one that is pumped full of sass and sincerity and allows ample room for emotional highs and lows. A Julliard grad with studies in voice and opera, MORGAN JAMES infuses her powerhouse personality with the adaptability of the New York music scene. Stephen Holden of the New York Times explains the vocal thunderstorm that is MORGAN JAMES in one eloquent statement: "This woman is on fire."
