MOTHER SUPERIOR'S HABITS is a musical comedy that depicts the 30th Reunion of the Class of 1964 from the school St. Minervanooks School for Girls and Others. Several of the attendees decide to try on Nun's Habits which are on display in a memento area at the reunion. A mysterious transition occurs and we are suddenly thrust back into 1964. The women begin to relive their experiences of growing up in a Catholic girls' school where "all of your teachers were Nuns." Along the way we meet these Nuns; Sister Mary Mary, the Mother Superior, Sister Mary Kneepad, the Coach, Sister Mary Marla Tabernacklechoir, the Religion Nun and Sister Mary Christina Columbus, the Bus Driver and Custodial Engineer. Two of the girls relive their experience as students; Lisa Toto, the ugliest girl in school, and Peggy Lou Caccetti, the rebel. Will the girls return to their reunion in 1994? Will Peggy Lou Caccetti have to continually write essays on the values of chastity? Only time and a number of songs will tell. Vocal selections include; "Mother Superior's Habits," "Don't Touch Your Privates," and "Bingo," among others.

MOTHER SUPERIOR'S HABITS features a book by Dennis Wickline and Music by David Clayton. Music for the song "Mother Superior's Habits" is by David Clayton and Mike Handley with the first 8 bars adapted from "Gesu Bambino" by Pietro A. Yon. Appearing as Mother Superior is Beth Duey. Ms. Duey recently appeared at Broadway Onstage in the comedy LOVE SONG earlier this season. Diana Turner takes on the role of Sister Mary Marla. She was also seen at Broadway Onstage in the comedy CAHOOTS and was seen as Evita Peron in the musical EVITA at the Box Theatre in Mt. Clemens last season. Marie Lorincz will be seen as Sister Mary Christina Columbus and Miranda Tully will take on the role of Lisa Toto. Broadway Onstage favorites Elizabeth Rager and Sharron Nelson will be seen as Sister Mary Kneepad and Peggy Lou Caccetti respectively. The production is under the able direction of Dennis Wickline and Musical and Choral Director for the show is the very talented Kelly Smith.

Tickets for Opening Night, Friday, April 13 are $14. Tickets for all other performances are $16. Again, Broadway Onstage is located at 21517 Kelly Rd. at Toepfer (8 1/2 Mile Rd.) in Eastpointe, Michigan. Ticket Reservations are strongly recommended by calling (586) 771-6333.
