Bay City Players will host the 2014 Spring Conference of the Community Theatre Association of Michigan during the weekend of April 25 -27, 2014. Representatives of community theatre groups around the state will come together to share ideas, conduct and attend workshops, and enjoy our production of "Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure."
Experts will present workshops on acting, directing, technical theatre skills, and theatre administration. Player's veteran Leeds Bird will conduct a workshop entitled "Photoshop Your Blocking: Making Stage Pictures Talk." Bird is one of many theater experts who will be sharing his talents in a variety of workshops throughout the conference. There will also be plenty of opportunities to socialize and make new friends.

The Show: Adapted by Steven Dietz and based on the original 1899 play by William Gillette and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, "Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure" is a delightful adaption in the ever popular series outlining the investigations of Arthur Conan Doyle's most famous character.
The Story: Sherlock Holmes has seemingly reached the end of his remarkable career when a case comes along too tempting to turn down. Will his only love, Irene Adler, play a role in bringing the brilliant detective out of retirement? "Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure" is full of danger, intrigue, wit, humor and surprise! Winner of the 2007 Edgar Award for Best Mystery Play.
