Bay City Players Announces Auditions for THE FANTASTICKS, 9/10

Bay City Players will hold auditions for its upcoming musical production, THE FANTASTICKS. Book and Lyrics by Tom Jones, Music by Harvey Schmidt, on Friday, September 10th at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 11th, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Callback Only: Sunday, September 12th at 1:00 p.m.

Auditions will be held at Bay City Players, 1214 Columbus Avenue, in Bay City.
Performance dates November 11-14 and 18-21, 2010

Directed by Fran Martinez and Musical Direction by Kunio Ouellette.

The director is looking for 8 Roles:
Vocal roles for 5 men of varying ages
1 woman age 15-25 high soprano necessary
2 other characters to be determined

THE PLOT: How do you get the kids to do what you want? Tell them not to, of course. THE FANTASTICKS is just that-fantastic -a backyard Romeo and Juliet! The longest running musical in New York history, THE FANTASTICKS is rich with wonderful music, charming comedy, and slyly sweet characters. This musical is a show for the family to share. Auditions are open to the public and newcomers are welcome. Those auditioning will be asked to sing, dance and read selections from the script.
