Barn Theatre Announces THE CIVIL WAR Starring Robert Newman ImageThe Barn opens its 72nd season with Frank Wildhorn's musical extravaganza playing one week only - June 5 - 10!

THE CIVIL WAR is a thrilling, "dramatic theatrical concert" that covers the immense, poignant saga of the most difficult test our nation has ever endured. The show incorporates letters, diaries, historical documents and the poetry of Walt Whitman as it explores the vicious civil war that claimed the lives of 620,000 Americans. THE CIVIL WAR focuses not only on issues of the unity of the nation and the abolition of slavery, but also on the impact of the war on families. Special Guests Robert Newman as well as Fee Waybill of the Tubes rock group will be joining the company for this production. Barn favorites Patrick Hunter, Charlie King, Samantha Rickard, Melissa Cotton Hunter, Hans Friedrichs, John Jay Espino, Jonnie Carpathios and Andrea Arvanigian are featured as well as Equity guest artists Michael Fisher and Shinnerrie Jackson.
