BUSINESS MANAGER
Performance Network Theatre (PNT) seeks a Business Manager to oversee its bookkeeping, financial reporting and the general functions of running the administrative office. Position is part-time or ¾ time, depending on experience and availability of candidate.
General responsibilities include ensuring accurate financial record keeping and documentation, maintaining office filing systems, writing payroll and paying taxes, and providing clear and timely financial reporting to the ED and Finance committee. The Business Manager also oversees all contractual, insurance, and licensing matters of PNT, and ensures the smooth operations of the PNT business office. The Business Manager reports directly to the Executive Director (ED).
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Enter all financial data into QuickBooks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, and annual budgets
• Maintain all financial documentation including cash flow tracking documents and budgets and work with PNT staff to ensure their accuracy
• Create and present up-to-date financial reports to the ED, Board Treasurer and Finance Committee at regular meetings and upon request
• Maintain office filing system, including contracts, vendor payments, Board minutes, and other documents necessary to complete the annual audit
• Generate payroll for all personnel and distribute
• Assist the ED in handling dealings with Equity, and other unions, including filing and paying weekly Equity League Pension and Health and Membership reports and payments
• Use PNT's specialized ticketing software to generate royalties reports and file with appropriate licensing agencies
• Monitor accounts payable and write checks
* File and pay weekly federal withholding, monthly/quarterly taxes, and printing/mailing W2 and 1099 forms
• Oversee and troubleshoot all office IT systems
• Create office supply inventory and oversee ordering
• Oversee administrative calendar, updating and troubleshooting as needed
• Oversee apprentice scheduling and staff needs of apprentIce Time
• Monitor all service contracts and liaison with all non-artistic vendors
• Assist the ED in working with all state licensing agencies, managing insurance policy renewals and related issues such as property, workers' compensation, special permits and health insurance
The ideal candidate will have:
- a basic understanding of general accounting principles
- a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- experience with Quickbooks accounting software
- solid organizational skills and the ability to keep multiple office systems operational and up-to-date
- excellent attention to detail
- the ability to present financial information in a clear, transparent manner

- the ability to juggle multiple deadlines, while functioning as the anchor of a busy, often chaotic office environment
DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE
Performance Network Theatre (PNT) seeks a Development Associate to aid the ED in formulating and executing the PNT Development plan, including: Annual special events, Membership program, Sponsorship program, Annual appeal, Major Individual gifts, Sustainers' club, all capital and special campaigns and grant-writing efforts. Development Associate is a full-time, entry level position and reports directly to the Executive Director (ED).
General Responsibilities include working directly with the Executive Director to implement all facets of the PNT's Development plan, which includes the following programs:
- Membership and Major Individual Gifts programs,
- Corporate Sponsorship/Partnership and Program advertising,
- Several annual fundraising events with goals of between $5,000 and $60,000,
- End of the Year appeal and annual campaign
- Grantseeking efforts at the local, state and national level,
- Private Underwriting program
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Assist the ED in building and maintaining strong relationships with all constituencies of the Development plan, including Major Donors, Granting organizations and foundations, corporate sponsors, season subscribers, members, auction donors, and Development volunteers.
• Maintain thorough donor files and database and donor stewardship system. Ensure delivery of all donor/sponsor benefits and monitor donor satisfaction and engagement.
• Research and write grant proposals to government, corporation and foundation sources for education and outreach activities, special projects, and general operating support.
• Assist the ED in ensuring the success and oversight of the logistical elements of all Performance Network events
• Solicit and organize volunteers for annual Gala fundraiser and all other special events
• Generate thank you letters and ensure delivery of donor benefits
• Maintain and update donor databases
• Assist the ED in producing development materials: brochures, forms, playbill inserts and fundraising letters
The ideal candidate will have:

- strong communication and writing skills

- a working knowledge of Mac computers, Adobe suite design software, and
spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software.
