Eric Cale's strikingly bold images spring to life in the stage production of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, which tells the tale of the hungry caterpillar's progress through an amazing variety of food towards his eventual metamorphosis into a beautiful butterfly. High up in a beautiful blue sky, a Little Cloud changes into various shapes of things he has seen. An adventurous trip to the zoo changing into different animals teaches The Mixed-Up Chameleon the importance of being true to oneself. These whimsical tales are "a quiet delight... brought to memorable life," says the Los Angeles Times, as they impart valuable lessons while entertaining young audiences.
