Join us as soulful singer-songwriter Phillip-Michael Scales takes the stage at Lynn University and shares his passion across multiple genres of music.
Phillip-Michael Scales, born in Michigan and living in Nashville, didn't understand growing up what it meant that his aunt’s close friend, the guitar player who called him "nephew" and he called "uncle B," was actually B.B. King. Over the years—with a fierce independent streak and a passion for performing—Scales fronted his own indie bands, wrote and recorded his own music, and worked to make a name for himself on his own terms. All the while, his "uncle B" just smiled a knowing smile and encouraged him to stay with it.
Scales calls his music "Dive Bar Soul"—a blend of Indie Rock storytelling and passion for the blues. His single “Find a Way” has begun attracting national radio attention and most recently, a performance on the Ellen Degeneres show.
Don't miss Scales in this special performance at Lynn as he delivers an engaging and powerful night to remember.
