Broward Center and Miramar Cultural Center present Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters - Family Fun Series.
This modern-day Cinderella story starts when a great African King seeks a wife, and only the most perfect maidens in the land are invited to meet him. Mufaro dreams of one of his two daughters becoming a queen! The girls, both of very different dispositions, travel a half day's journey through a mystical jungle and across a deep river to be presented to the King. Along the way, they encounter mysterious situations that test their courage, kindness and strength of spirit. Combining authentic African drumming, powerful and majestic choreography and thrilling music, the splendor of Zimbabwe and energy of the African land will burst onto stage in this Caldecott Award-winning tale!
The Family Fun experience begins pre-show with free arts and crafts activities provided by Young At Art Museum and face painting by Curly Sue and friends. After the show, the entire family can enjoy complimentary snacks from Whole Foods. At the Miramar Cultural Center.
