Motown: The Musical is Broadway's hottest music history musical - a vibrant journey through the Motown genre from Smokey Robinson and Marvin Gaye to Diana Ross and Michael Jackson. The show tells the story of Berry Gordy, the founder of the record label Motown Records and one of the pioneers of Motown.
Motown: The Musical uncovers the tale behind the hits as Smokey finds his unique voice, Diana skyrockets to stardom and Berry fights against the odds to turn his improbable dream into a triumphant reality. The Broadway musical has been nominated for four 2013 Tony Awards, including Best Orchestrations and Best Sound Design of a Musical.
