A colorful cross-section of traditional Latin American music and dance, performed live by talented international artists, Hispanico Ballet Flamenco offers a tangible, pulsating connection to the Hispanic world that cannot be achieved by digital means. The fusion of Spanish colonial and native American traditions have led to expressions such as the Mexican Jarabe-Tapatio; add to that the African influence in the Colombian Cumbia and exciting Caribbean Salsa and Merengue, the intense Argentinian Tango, the intricate footwork of Malambo, the rhythmic Bombos (Drums), and the spectacular magic of Boleadores. All of the dance numbers show the effects of history, politics, music and cultural psychology on the unique dynamics of each country, expressed through their music traditions.
