Just in time for the Halloween season, A.C.T. Studio Theatre presents John Van Drutens romantic comedy Bell, Book and Candle about a witch who can cast spells and perform feats of the supernatural. She casts a spell over a man to whom she is attracted: he falls head over heels in love with her at once and wants to marry her! But witches, unfortunately, cannot fall in love, and this minute imperfection leads to a number of complications.Written and first performed on Broadway in the 1950s, Bell, Book and Candle is a great throwback to a more innocent time in Americaa time when anything was possible, said director Stuart Mohr. Opportunity was just around the corner, and so was love if you knew where to look. Let Bell, Book and Candle bewitch you with its charm, and you may just believe in magic again. For a Halloween treat where romantic comedy fans will find that love is magical, come enjoy A.C.T.s cast of Samantha McCue as Gillian Holroyd, David Tanner as Shepherd Henderson, Joyce Milligan as Aunt Queenie Holroyd, Becca Roy as Nikki Holroyd, and Robert Geller as Sidney Redlitch. Performances are Oct. 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20. Friday and Saturday performances are at 8:00 p.m.; Sunday matinees are at 3:00 p.m. A.C.T.
