Fushu Daiko at Parker Playhouse

This dynamic performance by a company of 12 Taiko drummers teaches audiences about the roots of Taiko drumming and its growth throughout the United States. This 2,000-year-old art form consists of many different kinds of drums from the small shime daiko to the 9-foot tall odaiko! The performance consists of live narration to guide the students through the drumming experience, which is interspersed with amazing high-energy percussion.Part of the Smart Stage Matinee Educational Program.
