The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is thrilled to announce the return of "Changemakers: Exploring Young Women’s Voices," a free six-week writing workshop for high school and college-aged women. The course will run every Tuesday from January 21 to February 25, 2025, from 5 - 6:30 p.m. This workshop, led by Palm Beach State College Professor Michelle Winkler, offers a unique opportunity for young women to develop their creative voices. Students must be nominated by their high school or college teachers to participate.
“We’re excited to offer a program that empowers young women to embrace their individuality and make an impact through their writing,” said Kravis Center CEO Diane Quinn. “This free workshop nurtures the next generation of storytellers, reinforcing the Kravis Center’s role as a leader in artistic innovation and cultural enrichment."
Winkler, who holds a Doctorate in Education and a Master’s in English from Florida Atlantic University, brings 20 years of teaching experience in higher education, AP, AICE and Dual Enrollment. Her guidance ensures a dynamic, hands-on learning environment.
“This workshop is an important exercise in bridging artistry with teamwork where young writers are given the opportunity to collaborate on a compilation of their own voices,” said Winkler.
