Cowboy tells the story of the Bass Reeves. The first black U.S. Deputy Marshal. Over his 32-year career, he apprehended more than 3,000 wanted felons, including some of the most dangerous criminals of the time. Set In 1888, twenty-three years after the abolishment of slavery, U.S. Deputy Marshal Bass Reeves and his half black- half Indian companion Grant Johnson, a Creek-Freedman find themselves stuck in a saloon with two wanted criminals as a deadly tornado approaches.
