By: Oct. 28, 2007

New Theatre continues its 2007-2008 Main Season with the NNPN World Premiere Production of For Better... by Eric Coble

In this plugged-in world of email, text-messaging and camera phones "Do a bride and groom really need to be in the same country to go on a honeymoon?" A romantic comedy for the digital age, For Better... is a hilarious new farce that pokes fun at our overdependence on the gadgets in our lives. Co-sponsored by Northern Trust and Meg & John Daly, For Better… is part of the National New Play Network's Continued Life of New Play Program, and will be co-premiered with Curious Theater in Denver and Southern Rep in New Orleans.

Under the artistic direction of Ricky J. Martinez, New Theatre's 2007-2008 main season remains true to its mission to provide a forum for new works by American Playwrights at the innovative theatre.  The current season features four world premiere productions, having recently premiered Miami playwright David Caudle's Likeness.   New Theatre Artistic Director, Ricky J. Martinez will direct the cast which includes New Theatre veterans John Manzelli, Kim Ostrenko, Evelyn Perez & Christopher Vicchiollo and making their New Theatre debut are Kay Ostrenko and Kevin Reilly
