MIAMI LIGHT PROJECT PRESENTS HIP HOP THEATER LEGEND WILL POWER

Miami Light Project is proud to present the South Florida debut of
Will Power's one man show FLOW on Friday, December 16, 2005 and Saturday,
December 17, 2005 at the Byron Carlyle Theater on Miami Beach.

Will Power is one of Hip Hop Theater's leading renaissance men. In
his one man show, voted Best Theater Show of 2003 by the New York Times,
Will is an enigma: masterfully morphing into a variety of different
characters, telling each of their unique stories through mesmerizing and
tongue-twisting rhythmic verse. Backed by DJ Reborn's stirring musical
backdrop, Flow transports you to a different time and place: you bear
witness to the ancient griot storytelling traditions first
hand--absorbing the lessons of generations of men, women, children and even
cockroaches in this touching tale that resonates with the importance of
community and familial bonds.

Taking on the voice of seven different storytellers, Will introduces
the audience to all the various characters that make up the
neighborhood: an aspiring rap star and his disapproving father, a drug dealer
trying to reform and his junkie begging for another hit, a preacher who
watches over the neighborhood like a village elder and even a
revolutionary cockroach named Fred encouraging his fellow roaches to "bring the
Raid back to the nest to study and defend against."

A familiar face to Miami audiences, Will Power recently gave the
keynote address in Miami Light Project's Miami/Project Hip Hop in May 2005.
During his residency in Miami, Will Power will be teaching a free
workshop for South Florida artists at Miami Light Project's Light Box on
Saturday, December 17 and two youth workshops at Miami Northwestern Senior
High and Youth Expressions, Inc.
