The West Atlantic Redevelopment Coalition(WARC) celebrated its 20th anniversary the weekend of September 9-11.
The weekend affair set out to celebrate 20 years of WARC being the non-profit agency created to advise the Delray Beach CRA and the City of Delray Beach on improvements and redevelopment in the areas surrounding West Atlantic Avenue, as well as to launch the new branding of the area now known as The Set.
Weekend events included a Friend-raiser Social at Arts Garage, Gentlemen of The Set Gala and Awards Dinner at the Fieldhouse at Old School Square and a Fun-raiser Golf Tournament at the Delray Beach Golf Club.
"I am grateful to everyone who came out to support WARC's inaugural three day celebration of the Set and our 20th anniversary," says WARC Chair Joycelyn Patrick. "It was indeed a pleasure to honor men who grew up in The Set, which was the vision of WARC Board member Ann Stacey-Wright. Congratulations to all of this year's honorees. This is truly what community is all about."
The Set is considered the area from Swinton to I95, and will soon be festooned with new banners welcoming residents and visitors to The Set. Their moto is: The Set. Where you can...Live, Play, Grow, Groove.
