Vacation Camps and More Announced at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Goldner Conservatory of Performing Arts Image

Where can you find characters from Scooby Doo, Monsters, Inc., SpongeBob SquarePants and large-scale kids' musicals under one roof?

At the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's popular Goldner Conservatory of Performing Arts camp programs, of course!

With a flexible schedule, budding young performers will participate in a broad range of theatre-related activities, including acting, dancing, singing, prop-making, improvisation, storytelling and more. Many of the summer camps conclude with unique themed showcase performances.

The two largest camp shows will be performed on the Theatre's stage: the Senior Conservatory's Sister Act and the Junior Conservatory's The Wizard of Oz, Young Performers' Edition. The musicals will be performed complete with professional production values: sets, costumes, lights, a full orchestra and more. Enrollment fees are all-inclusive, covering all costumes and performance-related costs.

"Our vacation camps have something for everyone, from dance, improv and musical theatre to comedy," said Julie Rowe, director of education for the Conservatory. "Our goal is to make sure that all of our students have fun, express their creativity, build confidence and have the opportunity to perform in a safe, supportive environment."

A great way to introduce young children to theatre, the Conservatory's vacation camp offerings include a five-day The Incredibles-themed spring break camp for grades K-5 (March 19 - 23), complete with a separate afternoon camp for students either staying through the afternoon or new campers. The Senior Conservatory will take place June 4 - 22 (with full performances of Sister Act on June 22 and 23), while the Junior Conservatory will take place July 9 - 27 (with full performances of The Wizard of Oz, Young Performers' Edition on July 27 and 28).

Other camp options include a one-week Scooby Doo-themed afternoon musical theatre camp (June 4 - 8), a one-week Monsters, Inc.-themed afternoon musical theatre camp (June 11 - 15) and a one-week Toy Story-themed afternoon musical theatre camp (June 18 - 22), all for grades K - 2 and 3 - 5; three sessions of one-week Dance Intensive Camps for grades 6 - 12 (June 25 - 29, July 9 - 13 and July 30 - August 3); a Winnie the Pooh-themed musical theatre camp for grades K - 2 and a SpongeBob camp for grades 3 - 5, followed by an afternoon Winnie the Pooh-themed camp for grades K - 2 and 3 - 5 (June 25 - 29); a four-day Drama Dragon-themed camp, followed by an afternoon camp for grades K-2 and 3-5 (July 2 - 6); a week of afternoon Wizard of Oz-themed camp for grades 3 - 5 (July 9 - 13); and a Finding Nemo-themed camp for grades K - 2 and Kung Fu Panda-themed camp for grades 3 - 5, followed by an afternoon Finding Nemo-themed camp for grades K-2 (July 30 - August 3).
