Univ Of Florida Announces In The Heights Experience, Go Behind The Scenes & More

Michael Blachly, Director of University of Florida Performing Arts, has announced an exclusive In the Heights Experience offering for the 2009-10 Season. The Tony Award-winning smash-hit musical's first national tour will be mounted at the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in October 2009. During a three-to-four week timeframe, the cast and crew will be in Gainesville putting together the creative and technical aspects for the highly anticipated national tour.

By purchasing an In the Heights Experience package, guests will be able to go behind the scenes of one of Broadway's most exciting musicals. These unique, one-time only experience packages include in-depth discussions with creative artists from In the Heights, backstage tours, access to special web site content, a Grammy® Award-winning In the Heights CD, a post-performance reception, pre- and post-performance discussions and a special "Sneak Peek" performance of In the Heights before it embarks on its first national tour! At this "Sneak Peek" performance, The Audience will experience an exhilarating journey into one of Manhattan's most vibrant communities, where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open, and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations.
