Steven Levenson, the Tony Award-winning playwright of Dear Evan Hansen will discuss his Broadway smash musical about a lonely teenager who inadvertently becomes a social media phenomenon and the new novel Levenson has co-written that is based on the musical at the David Posnack Jewish Community Center.
Levenson will appear on Tuesday, February 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the Center, located at 5850 S. Pine Island Rd., in Davie. The event is open to the public.
The program will be moderated by Kelley Shanley, president/CEO of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The evening will also feature the Broward Center's youth ensemble, The Spotlights. All ticketholders from the Levenson program will have a chance to win show swag or two tickets to the opening night performance of Dear Evan Hansen, coming in March to the Broward Center.
Tickets cost $30 and include one ticket and one book or $40 and include two tickets and one book.
