Jupiter, FL -- Bubba's East Coast Rods and Customs may be new to south Florida, but the family-run business is well-known in the automotive industry for building some of the most beautifully designed and crated automobiles ever to hit the road. The company is run by the father/son team of Tom and Bubba Lloyd, the hosts of the popular tv show Hot Rod Reality and a second tv show soon to be seen on a major television network. At 25, Bubba Lloyd is considered to be one of the top three designers in the country.
Not content to bask in the afterglow of their very successful grand opening on Saturday, March 22, Bubba and Tom have been putting the weight of their very celebrity and reputation into community and charity events. On Saturday, April 5, they stopped in at Palm Beach International Raceway for Super Chevy weekend, where friends and fans lined up to shake hands and get an autograph. The father and son team also did a celebratory lap on the drag strip, cheered on by cover model and Bubba's fiancé, Layla Von Athey. Tom drove the easily recognizable Monster Tranmission "Eat my shift" Chevy Camaro while Bubba did the honors behind the wheel of the Camaro SS Turbo he designed and built.
This evening, April 17, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Bubba, Tom and Layla will fill the parking lot of Provident Jewelry on Indiantown Road, Jupiter, with some of the most beautiful and innovative hot rods and custom cars ever built. The reason - a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) sponsored by Nick Mastroianni, Vice President of Planning and Operations for Allied Capital and Development, who is hoping to be named LLS 2014 Man of the Year.
The event will be emceed by Jonathan Duerr of Fite Shavell & Associates Professional Realtors with entertainment by M2G. Refreshments will be provided by C'est Si Bon restaurant and Perfect Vodka.
