The Playgroup, LLC is proud to present the first production of its fourth season at the Willow Theatre at Sugar Sand Park in Boca Raton, APPROACHING THE SPEED OF LIFE, written by Todd Caster and directed by Teresa Biber LoMonte and Donna Warfield.

Doris and Ned are spending a lovely Christmas Eve with their daughter Sadie. The holiday spirit is dampened by the sudden appearance of their estranged son, Junior, dressed in a prison jump-suit. The police arrive shortly, hot on Junior's trail, but where did Junior run off to? It's a cat and mouse game and a not-so-typical Christmas for the family - or the police.

Todd Caster, playwright, is co-founder of Theatre Arts Group in New York's Hudson Valley and The Palm Beach PlayMakers in Delray Beach, Florida. His most notable works produced by The Playgroup LLC include Broken Angels, Little Piggies, and Surfing the Rubicon. He has had over 30 short plays produced by a myriad of regional and national theaters and has had two monologues published by Meriwether Publishing and are included in Audition Monologues for Young Women and The Theatre Audition Book 2. Todd is the newly elected Artistic Director and Producer of the Playgroup and lives in West Palm Beach, Florida with his wife, Mary Ellen.
