The Playgroup LLC continues to present the best work by local playwrights with nine exciting performances of Todd Caster's LITTLE PIGGIES. Directed by Joyce Sweeney.

Published and produced playwright, Todd Caster, is author of RIDDLE OF THREE, BROKEN ANGELS, STRANDED ON THE ISLE OF FEW and over a dozen other plays in the United States. As an actor he appeared in many productions including THE FALSE WITNESS with TV and stage star
Richard Kind, as well as RUMORS, LOST IN YONKERS AND STAGEBLOOD. Todd is co-founder,director and producer of NY's Theatre Arts Group.
ABOUT THE ACTORS:
Sara Lee (Sis) hails from Fort Lauderdale and is thrilled to be in the Playgroup's LITTLE PIGGIES. Sara has actd in many previous Playgroup productions including SHORTCUTS 1, 2 AND 4, playing Maggie in SPARE CHANGE, God in QUOTIDIAN QUOTA and Maudie in THE AUDITION. Sara played Slipslop and Mrs. Tow-Wouse in the Playgroup's production of JOSEPH ANDREWS. In 2013 she was featured in the Vermont Playwrights Circle annual production of TEN-FEST.
Elli Murray (Marie) is thrilled to be playing Marie in LITTLE PIGGIES. Since her early retirement from nursing five years ago, Ellie has appeared in over 30 local productions and one feature film, PARALLEL LIVES show at film festivals around the world. Her most recent roles are in the Playgroup's SHORTCUTS 4, and MARVIN'S ROOM at ACT of Davie
Harry Marsh (Bob) has appeared in a number of stage productions in South Florida including BECKY'S NEW CAR, NEXT FALL, GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS, SOCIAL SECURITY, ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST MOON OVER BUFFALO and LAUGHTER ON THE 23RD FLOOR. He has also appeared in numerous independent feature films and shorts. Harry has worked with
Michael Leeds of the Leeds workshop, Marc Durso with ActTrue and attended workshops at the Acting School of South Florida, Alyn Darnay's Acting Intelligence Workshop and Lori Wyman Casting.
Kristen Elise (Penny) is delighted to be performing in her first production in South Florida. Kristen is a school library media specialist and creative writer, always eager to tell a great story. In 2008 she received a Bachelor's Degree in Media Production from Floria State University and earned her Master's Degree in School Media in 2014. Kristen completed a summer writing residency in 2013 at the Jermitage Artist Retreat in Englewood, Florida.
Don Grimme (Alex) has performed in many productions in NYC, Europe and now Florida. Recent appearances include MURDER IN THE CATHEDRAL, KISS ME KATE, JEKYLL & HYDE and DOROTHY'S ADVENTURES IN OZ as well as numerous appearances in Playgroup productions such as SHORTCUTS 2 and 3 and JOSEPH ANDREWS. Don is a published playwright whose play THE AUDITION was featured in SHORTCUTS 4 and whose plays have been performed in SUMMER SHORTS and MIAMI TIME.
Richard Capalbo (Larry) a graduate of the University of Central Florida, is now working on his MBA at Florida Atlantic University. He received most of his theatrical training from The Acting School of South Florida. Richard recently played the role of Bert in IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE at the Andrews Living Arts Studio. Since then, he has participated in the film, VICTIM, and will be working in the feature film BOOTED.
Paul Rosen (Ted). Some of his favorite roles include the lead in LOVE LETTERS , LA CAGE AUX FOLLES and The Playgroup's BROKEN ANGELS , JOSEPH ANDREWS and SHORTCUTS 4. He has also appeared in THE FALSE WITNESS, DON'T DRINK THE WATER and AWAKE AND SING.
Pierre Tannous (Chuck) is excited to be making his Playgroup LLC debut at Empire Stage. Pierre was the resident assistant stage manager at Palm Beach Dramaworks for the last two years, where he also portrayed King Philip in THE LION IN WINTER. A proud Shakespeare Festival Company member and Equity Candidate, Pierre will be performing at the Island City Stage in OCTOPUS
