The Garden Theatre presents the magic of Dan Stapleton in an extraordinary Halloween weekend production of Abracadabra It's Magic, October 30-November 1, 2009, at the Garden Theatre (160 West Plant Street). These shows will provide a fun, family-oriented alternative to Halloween celebrations, and will enhance the already popular Winter Garden Halloweenfest, which brings hundreds of trick-or-treaters to Plant Street.

Stapleton is joined by Bunnies in Peril, a magic comedy act, for a special late-night spook show on Halloween night, called Dr. Zombie's Theatre for the Unexplained, Saturday, October 31 at 10:30pm.

ABOUT DAN STAPLETON

Originally from Waukesha, Wisconsin, Magician Dan Stapleton has been performing for Florida audiences for nearly 35 years. Disney World brought him to the Sunshine State soon after they opened where he was employed as the Magic Shop "demonstrator." Three years later he opened the Mystery Fun House (Kirkman Rd. & I-4) where he built and designed his own magic shop. Circus World, soon after, was revamping their illusion show and came looking for Dan to help redesign their show. He sold his interest in the magic shop and stayed with Circus World for 3 ½ years. Next was a move that changed his career. He was invited to perform aboard a cruise ship and 23 years later he found himself back in Orlando performing for local conventions. The Garden Theatre is a good match for Dan's stage personality as he says, "With 300 seats it will bring the audience right on stage for some things they will find impossible".

ABOUT THE GARDEN THEATRE

Located in the heart of historic downtown Winter Garden on Plant Street, the Garden Theatre is operated by the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit community organization which works to preserve local history and offers cultural theatric experiences unique to West Orange County and the citizens of Winter Garden.
