Allen D. Cornell, Riverside Theatre's producing Artistic Director, and Ken Clifton, Riverside's Musical Director, have teamed up to create a special theatrical event based upon the music of legendary Broadway icons Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe. The Music of Lerner & Loewe takes place on the Stark Stage at 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 20 and Saturday, November 22, 2014.

Featuring three highly acclaimed Broadway and West End performers, this musical journey through the Lerner & Loewe songbook offers a delightful showcase of one of the 20th century's most accomplished musical teams.

After a chance meeting at the Lamb's Club in New York City in 1942, the team of Lerner and Loewe would write some of the best-loved shows in Broadway and film history including: Brigadoon, Paint Your Wagon, Gigi, My Fair Lady, and Camelot.

"After last season's incredible success with the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, I wanted to showcase the popular scores of the great songwriting team, Lerner and Loewe," says Mr. Cornell. "Their lush, melodic music and witty, sophisticated lyrics combine perfectly with the storytelling of their shows. I'm excited for our audiences to hear these timeless, Broadway classics performed by our exceptional cast."

The performances will include some of Broadway's most enchanting and enduring classics: "If Ever I Would Leave You" and "Camelot" from Camelot, "I Could Have Danced All Night" and "I've Grown Accustomed To Her Face" from My Fair Lady, "Gigi" and "I Remember It Well" from Gigi, with additional hits from these shows as well as from Broadway productions, Paint Your Wagon and Brigadoon.

The Music of Lerner & Loewe stars Richard Todd Adams (The Phantom of the Opera, LES MISERABLES, The Woman In White), Jeremiah James (Carousel, Crazy For You, The Fantastics, Beauty and The Beast), and Jennifer Hope Wills (The Phantom of the Opera, Wonderful Town, The Woman In White) with direction by Allen D. Cornell and musical direction by Ken Clifton. Performers will be accompanied by two grand pianos played by Mr. Clifton and Anne Shuttlesworth.

The Music of Lerner & Loewe performs November 20 & 22, 2014 at 8 p.m. on the Stark Stage at Riverside Theatre. Tickets are $45. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Box Office at 772-231-6990 or online at www.riversidetheatre.com.
