Strategic Marketing Seminar for Arts Leaders

National Arts Strategies (NAS) announced an executive education seminar: Strategic Marketing, May 14 - 15, 2009. This program targets top artistic and management executives, board leaders, and representatives from not-for-profit, cultural organizations throughout South Florida, and will be held at the Adrienne Arsht Center, 1300 Biscayne Blvd. in Miami. NAS offers a full scholarship throughout 2009 to participants, of its Business of Art and Culture seminar series, including Strategic Marketing in Miami. Presented by a leading faculty comprised of Anita Elberse, Ph.D., Harvard Business School; Michael Norton, Ph.D., Harvard Business School and Seminar Director, Jim Rosenberg, National Arts Strategies, Strategic Marketing explores systematic approaches for understanding customers, planning marketing strategies, and creating value for your community. Whether you present programs directly to the public or work with partners such as schools and social service organizations, Strategic Marketing will give you new tools to: Understand the needs and interests of your current - and potential - stakeholders; Identify the best target-customer segments for your organization; Create differentiation and positioning that attract, serve, and keep participants and customers: Recognize and systematically respond to changes in your community: Advance your mission through a sharp focus on customers and markets. This exciting two-day seminar engages your team in a series of class discussions, team-based activities and case studies to help your team develop an integrated view of marketing and customer relationships. It is strongly recommended that applicants consider a senior-level team of three or more for this seminar that includes. Scholarships: Through the support of their national network of funders, NAS is offering a full fellowship for all Business of Arts and CultureTM events in 2009. The 2009 Organization Fellowship covers the full tuition of $1250 for a team of up to five people. Organizations from across the United States will now be able to participate in the Business of Arts and Culture seminars at no cost. 2009 Organization Fellowships will be offered through a straight-forward application process. NAS will assign the Organization Fellowships and will be provided through a rolling selection process using a very focused, short application. The number of organizations is limited in each event to allow for more in-depth participation with a team.
