The 1950s revue FOREVER PLAID is set to open March 15 at the new StarStruck Theatre in Stuart, Florida. This limited engagement will play for one weekend only, March 15-18.
"I feel beyond blessed to once again be donning plaid," Director/choreographer Josh Rhett Noble said. "This musical has always meant so much to me. I have had the pleasure of performing in it multiple times across the country, and it was always my late father's favorite show. It is slammed packed with THE best songs from the 50s, as well as a hilarious yet touching story."
FOREVER PLAID is the story of "The Plaids", a classic 1950s all-male singing group who return from the Great Beyond to perform the show they never got to do when they were alive. "The Plaids" perform the greatest hits of the 1950s with harmony and choreography. Songs such as "Undecided," "Chain Gang," "Perfidia," "Heart and Soul,""Catch a Falling Star," "Three Coins in the Fountain," "Love Is a Many Splendored Thing," "Crazy Bout Ya' Baby," "Magic Moments," "Lady of Spain" and "Rags to Riches."
Sharing the stage with Noble (who will be playing the cut-up of the group "Sparky") are Jonathan Cummings as the insecure, nose-bleeder "Jinx", Xander James as the asthmatic leader "Frankie" and Matt McClure as the worrisome "Smudge".
Directed and choreographed by New York theatre veteran Josh Rhett Noble (most recently seen as "Rooster" in StarStruck's hit ANNIE) with musical direction by Peter Jones (who plays live on stage).
