BankAtlantic Named Title Sponsor for 17th Annual ArtServe Encore
Awards
ArtServe is pleased to announce BankAtlantic as Title Sponsor for the
17th Annual ArtServe Encore Awards! For the fourth year, BankAtlantic
is lending their support to the entire arts and cultural community of
Broward by making it possible to honor those who have helped shape the
direction and vision of the arts and cultural community in South Florida.
"We are pleased to once again sponsor the ArtServe Encore Awards," said
Jarett Levan, President of BankAtlantic. "At BankAtlantic, we take
pride in our community. And we are thrilled to support a program that
honors those who make our community a better place to live and work."
As ArtServe and BankAtlantic prepare for the awards program, they are
currently seeking nominations for the 17th Annual ArtServe Encore
Awards. Volunteers, patrons and corporate supporters are the backbone of the
South Florida arts community. The ArtServe Encore Awards gives the
Broward County arts community a chance to give something back and to let
arts supporters know that they are needed and appreciated. If you know a
person or organization that has given time, resources and/or financial
support to the South Florida arts community, don't miss this chance to
recognize them with this prestigious award! ArtServe welcomes the
entire South Florida community to nominate those who have supported and
enhanced the arts this year.
Nominations will be accepted in following categories: Individual
Leadership, Business Leadership, Foundation Leadership, Government
Leadership, Professional Pro Bono, Arts Collaboration, and Artist of the Year
for Community Impact. In addition, the Cultural Foundation of Broward is
currently seeking nominations for the 2006 Moretti Award for Artistic
Achievement. Previous winners of the Encore Awards include Hollywood
City Manager, Cameron Benson, Sherron Long, Becker & Poliakoff, P.A.,
BankAtlantic Foundation, Arts Academy of Hollywood and the City of
Hollywood. The 2005 recipient of the Moretti Award was Joan Mikus of the Fort
Lauderdale Historical Society.
The winner from each category will be honored at a luncheon on
Friday, May 12, 2006 from 11:00am to 1:30pm in the Chairman's Club at the
BankAtlantic Center, which will feature a silent auction and live
