WORLD RENOWNED IMPRESSIONS
Inducted Into The Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame, 1991
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY AUDITORIUM
FRIDAY, JUNE 18, 2010
8:00PM

The world renowned Impressions will be here in Miami June 18 at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium, located at 2901 West Flagler Street, for one BIG show only. It's been 10 years since the Impressions have graced a stage in the Sunshine State. Tickets are available at Ticketsmaster or CHARGE-BY-PHONE 305-358-5885 or Miami-Dade County Auditorium box office at 305 - 547 - 5414.

Fresh from their European tour last year and dates in California two of the original Impression's Fred Cash and Sam Gooden and newest member Reginald Torian are still the best in harmony, soul and performance.

Belting out their hits "People Get Ready," "Choice of Colors," and "Keep On Pushin" to sold out audiences is the true grit of the songs penned by the late Curtis Mayfield that has created the longevity of the group and keeps them performing throughout the world.

"We're looking forward to coming down to Miami. It is the foundation that Curtis and Sam laid down in the late 60's and 70's that gives these songs great meaning," Cash says. "That is why we are able to keep working and do what we do because people still want to hear."

The songs including "This Is My Country" and "Amen" embodied the spirit of the civil rights movement and became anthems of the times. "With DR. Martin Luther King and the civil rights movement was a great part of the songs and they stand up today. Those songs at that particular time we were recording, we didn't know it would have the affect it did on the public. They became some of the great songs for the movement and they need to be talked about today more than ever," Cash adds.

Having sold more than 60 million records the most recent release being a Christmas album "I'm Coming Home for Christmas" released in 2009, sold out, and will be re-released in December 2010.

The newest project scheduled for release later this year under a new label Rebirth Music started by Cash, Tim Eaton and Jerry Goodman who worked with Elvis Presley, will be a live CD and DVD cut at Drew University in California with the Los Angeles Symphony Orchestra directed by Ricky Minor, band director of American Idol.
