Riverside Theatre welcomes Broadway star Brian d'Arcy James as part of its annual Supper Club Event. Part of Riverside's Friends Committee events, An Evening with Brian d'Arcy James takes place on Monday, February 13, 2017 starting at 6pm with cocktails followed by dinner and then the performance by Mr. d'Arcy James. Chair for the event is Rosemary Haverland.
An award-winning theatre, film and television actor, Mr. d'Arcy James was most recently seen on Broadway in the production of Something Rotten. Nominated for a 2015 Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle Award and Drama League Distinguished Performance Award, Mr. d'Arcy James originated the role of King George III in the sold-out Off-Broadway run of Hamilton at The Public Theatre. In 2016, he starred in the Academy Award-winning Best Picture, Spotlight, with Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo, and Rachel McAdams.
Mr. d'Arcy James, originally from Saginaw, MI and a graduate from Northwestern University, has been a regular on Broadway stages since his debut in Blood Brothers in 1993. He has since appeared in the Broadway productions of Carousel, Titanic, Sweet Smell of Success, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Shrek The Musical, Next to Normal, Macbeth, and others.
At Riverside, Mr. d'Arcy James will perform many of his favorite tunes from the world of entertainment. Dinner and performance will take place on the Waxlax Stage.
