The National Tour of Bathhouse the Musical comes to Rising Action on August 20. Wrttten by Tim Evanicki and Esther Daack, Bathhouse, has campy humor and lively tunes. Billy ventures to a Bathhouse, for the first time. He is looking for love but he finds the other patrons are looking for something more temporary. This musical contains adult themes, language and scantily clad men.

Some Men, by Terrence McNally finally opens in Fort Lauderdale making its South Florida debut after a one-year delay. It is a romantic dance poem to gay history. It concerns 9 men at a gay wedding looking back on their lives and loves, 1920 to the present. It concerns how gay life was, is, and will be.

The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told is by Paul Rudnick who gave us Jeffrey, I Hate Hamlet and The New Century. The play originated with Rudnick pondering the anti-gay slogan, "God Made Adam and Eve… not Adam and Steve." So he wrote a play supposing that God made Adam and Steve and their lesbian counterparts, Jane and Mabel. Join the foursome as they go through the Garden of Eden, The Flood, and journey with them to present day where they meet Santa Claus and Rabbi Sharon.

Individual Play tickets are available for $30 each on their website, www.risingactiontheatre.com. You may also order by calling 1-800-595-4849. A subscription for four plays is good for up to a year and costs $100. It's a flex pass and you don't have to pick your dates now.
