Allen D. Cornell, Riverside Theatre's Producing Artistic Director, and Ken Clifton, Riverside's Musical Director, have teamed up again to create a special theatrical event showcasing some of the most beloved music from the films of Hollywood. RIVERSIDE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD takes place on the Stark Stage on Thursday, November 19 and Saturday, November 21, 2015.

Featuring four highly accomplished Broadway and New York performers, this musical journey through Hollywood's extensive song list of beloved, award-winning musical compositions will offer tribute to some of the greatest musicals and films of all time.

"After last season's success with the music of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe and the overwhelming , Ken and I wanted to showcase some of greatest scores associated with films," says Mr. Cornell. "These memorable tunes are lush, comical, romantic, and indicative of the lasting impression of a good song. I'm excited for our audiences to hear these timeless classics performed by our exceptional cast."

Hollywood is synonymous with great films and is the location where cinematic musicals were first filmed. Throughout the decades, films have entertained, inspired, and moved viewers, but it is the music that heightens the passion, danger, romance, and joy of the film. These celebrated films are memorable because of these enduring melodies.

"It's been a great deal of work to translate this music to just pianos and vocal, but so fun and worth the effort," said Ken Clifton. "Such truly beautiful and memorable music. Few things have touched American society at large more than the movies. Something we all share on some level. Most of these films (and their scores) are timeless and dare I say eternal. We have brought together four remarkable singers and with the artistry of talents like Anne Shuttlesworth, this promises to be one of the highlights of our season. This is more than a walk down memory lane.... It's a celebration of music and moments that bring us together. Hooray for Hollywood and the vision of Allen Cornell to make it possible."

RIVERSIDE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD stars Richard Todd Adams (The Phantom of the Opera, The Woman in White, The Pirate Queen), John Cudia (The Phantom of the Opera, LES MISERABLES, Evita), Laura Hodos (Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, Orlando Philharmonic), and Jennifer Hope Wills (The Phantom of the Opera, Wonderful Town, The Woman in White) with direction by Allen D. Cornell and musical direction by Ken Clifton. Performers will be accompanied by two grand pianos played by Mr. Clifton and Anne Shuttlesworth.

The evening will include songs: "The Way We Were" (The Way We Were), "Moon River" (Breakfast at Tiffany's), "Where Do I Begin" (Love Story), "When You Wish Upon A Star" (Pinocchio), "Thanks for the Memories" (The Big Broadcast of 1938), "As Time Goes By" (Casablanca), "Beauty and The Beast" (Beauty and The Beast), "Alfie" (Alfie), "What a Feeling" (Flashdance), "Someday My Prince Will Come" (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs), "Over the Rainbow" (The Wizard of Oz), and many, many more.

Mr. Clifton and Ms. Shuttlesworth will also shine in their instrumental piano interpretations from Chariots of Fire, Gone With The Wind, The Pink Panther, ET, Superman, Star Wars and the themes of James Bond films.
