Classic Albums Live presents some of rock music's best albums in their entirety, as they were recorded, note for note and cut for cut. The group, which presented The Eagles: Hotel California and The Beatles: Abbey Road, brings Pink Floyd's The Wall to the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts Wednesday, October 28 at 7:30 p.m.
The goal of Classic Albums Live is to capture "absolutely every detail" of some of rock music's greatest albums. The musicians, pulled from among Canada's best, do not attempt to dress up like the original band members or mimic them in any way. Instead, they perform the album as it was recorded in such detail that, if you close your eyes and listen to the music, you'll swear you're listening to the album.
Based in Toronto, Classic Albums Live has performed throughout Canada and the United States. Along with Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon and The Eagles' Hotel California, they have also produced "live album" experiences of Led Zeppelin's Led Zeppelin and Led Zeppelin II; Bruce Springsteen's Born to Run; Supertramp's Crime of the Century and Breakfast in America; the Rolling Stones' Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main Street; The Beatles' Revolver and Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band; and Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here and The Wall.
