Actors' Playhouse and Lexus of Kendall proudly present the 16th Annual 'Reach for the Stars' Gala Auction
The dream car you've always wanted; that trip to Europe you can't get out of your mind; a relaxing week spent cruising the Mediterranean or Islands of Hawaii; VIP treatment you've craved from a luxurious day spa; an indulgent shopping spree for those must-haves; a collectable piece of art from internationally renown artists; these wonders and more await you at the 16th Annual 'Reach for the Stars' Gala Auction presented by Actors' Playhouse and Lexus of Kendall on Saturday April 14th at the Miracle Theatre in Coral Gables.
Over $300,000 worth of live and silent auction items will be up for bid preceded by dinner provided by 30 of Coral Gables' finest restaurants and an open Bacardi bar, held at the historic Art Deco Miracle Theatre in Coral Gables, 280 Miracle Mile, the home venue of the Actors' Playhouse. Guest auctioneer will be South Florida's own Bob Soper formerly of WFOR Channel 4 TV.
The popular auction is the major fundraising event for Actors' Playhouse each year. The 2006 event raised $175,00 for the Actors' Playhouse Endowment Fund and all of this year's funds will support the endowment programs.
The Actors' Playhouse 'Reach for the Stars' Gala Auction gives attendees an opportunity to bid for international airline tickets, hotel travel packages and cruises, dinners at popular South Florida restaurants, jewelry, golf packages, fine art, furniture, sports collectors items, electronics, personal trainer services, spa visits, objets d'art, designer and hand-tailored clothing, furniture, membership gift certificates and other items. Headlining this year's auction is a one-year lease for a 2008 Lexus RX350.
Platinum sponsors include Lufthansa Airlines who donate Business Class Tickets; InterContinental Hotels & Resorts who have given packages at resorts worldwide and Norwegian Cruise Line who donate luxury cruises in Europe, Hawaii, and Alaska. Gold sponsors include the Florida Marlins offering valuable memorabilia and exclusive box seating, Bellsouth Yellow Pages, and the David Schor Gallery. Tickets for the annual gala black tie optional event on April 14th are $75 per person, which includes gourmet dining, open Bacardi bar, and live and silent auctions. Guests can join them beginning at 6:30 pm to dine and bid on silent auction items. The live auction begins at 8 pm.
