The Alzheimer's Association, the world's leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research, will be the beneficiary of the Rita Hayworth Luncheon, which will be held on Friday, March 10, at The Colony Hotel, Palm Beach.

This special fundraising event is being co-hosted by Princess Yasmin Aga Khan, the daughter of legendary movie star and dancer Rita Hayworth who passed away from Alzheimer's disease. For the third year in a row in Palm Beach, the other co-host is internationally renowned designerCarleton Varney, the creative force behind the vibrant "re-imagining" of The Colony Hotel and the Pavilion ballroom, in which the luncheon is being held.

The first Rita Hayworth Gala was held in New York in 1984, and the event expanded to include Chicago and Palm Beach. To date, under Aga Khan's leadership, more than $68 million has been raised for the Alzheimer's Association as a result of the Rita Hayworth Gala events.
