The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County and Broadway Across America are pleased to present the national tour of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's passionate and elegant masterpiece EVITA. The Tony Award-winning musical will play at the Arsht Center's Ziff Ballet Opera House for a limited engagement from May 27 - June 1, 2014. EVITA closes the Broadway in Miami 2013-2014 subscription season presented by Bank of America. Scroll down for a sneak peek at the show!

This is the first new Broadway production of the seven-time Tony Award-winning musical since it debuted on Broadway more than 30 years ago and is directed by Tony and Olivier Award-winner Michael Grandage and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Rob Ashford.

Eva Peron used her beauty and charisma to rise meteorically from the slums of Argentina to the presidential mansion as First Lady. Adored by her people as a champion for the poor, she became one of the most powerful women in the world - while her greed, outsized ambition and fragile health made her one of the most tragic. EVITA tells Eva's passionate and unforgettable true story, and features some of theater's most beautiful songs, including "Don't Cry for Me Argentina," "Another Suitcase in Another Hall" and "High Flying, Adored."

Produced by Hal Luftig, Scott Sanders and Troika Entertainment, the creative team includes tour director Seth Sklar-Heyn, tour choreographer Chris Bailey, Tony Award-winning scenic and costume designer Christopher Oram, Tony Award-winning lighting designer Neil Austin, Olivier Award-winning sound designer Mick Potter, wig and hair designer Richard Mawbey, projection designer Zachary Borovay, music supervisor Kristen Blodgette, and music director/conductor William Waldrop. Orchestrations are by Andrew Lloyd Webber and David Cullen, and dance arrangements are by David Chase.

The performance schedule for EVITA at the Ziff Ballet Opera House, Adrienne Arsht Center, 1300 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, FL 33132 is: Tuesday, May 27th at 8pm; Wednesday, May 28th at 8pm; Thursday, May 29th at 8pm Friday, May 30th 8pm; Saturday, May 31st at 2pm; Saturday May 31st at 8pm; Sunday, June 1st at 1pm; and Sunday, June 1st at 7pm.
