Back by "popular" demand, the second national tour of WICKED returns to Miami after breaking box office records across North America. WICKED's Munchkinland Tour broke two all-time North American Touring box office records during its most recent run in Atlanta. During the shows February 18 - March 8 stay at the Fox Theater, the show grossed $2,864,958 for the eight-performance week ending March 1, and $3,266,527 for the nine-performance week ending March 8.
"Broadway's Biggest Blockbuster" (The New York Times) will be in Miami as part of the 2014-15 Broadway in Miami series presented by Bank of America. BroadwayWorld.com took a peek backstage as the production arrived at the Adrienne Arsht Center.

Between traveling crew and local hires, it takes over 100 people to load-in and build the set. The entire process from truck to stage can take about three days.

The Adrienne Arsht Center will be having a daily Broadway inspired lottery for the run of the show. Lottery hopefuls must arrive at the Arsht Center two and a half hours prior to curtain in order to submit their names for maximum two $25 orchestra seats. Names will be drawn at the two hour mark.
The Munchkinland Tour currently stars Alyssa Fox (Elphaba), Carrie St.Louis (Glinda), John Davidson (The Wizard), Ashley Parker Angel (Fiyero), and Kristine Zbornik (Madame Morrible).FUN FACT: The stage at the Ziff Ballet Opera House is the second largest in the United States. The stage at the Metropolitan Opera House is larger only in depth.
