Experience the legendary music and artistry of one of the greatest live bands of all time with One Night of Queen, performed by Gary Mullen & The Works Tuesday, March 30 at the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
A lifelong fan of Queen and karaoke, Gary Mullen found a great deal of enjoyment visiting local U.K. clubs like The Horseshoe Bar in Glasgow, where his uncanny performance of Queen songs wowed the crowd. Gary's wife and mother secretly sent away an application to Stars In Their Eyes, a former British televised talent show.
Gary then went on to become winner of Stars In Their Eyes 2000 as Freddie Mercury, with a record of 864,838 votes, more than double the runner up and the most votes ever received on the show.
In the last nine years, One Night of Queen has toured non-stop around the world playing theaters, arenas and festivals to sold-out crowds. Gary Mullen and his live band The Works have gained recognition in New Zealand, Germany, Holland, the U.K. and now the U.S. and are going from strength to strength. Gary says "I am so grateful to all the people that have helped us to get where we are today and long may it continue."
