Performing and Visual Arts College Fair to Welcome College-Bound Students, 9/30

Broward Cultural Division encourages all college-bound high school students interested in pursuing undergraduate and graduate studies in the areas of music, dance, theater, visual arts, graphic design and other related disciplines, to attend the National Association for College Admission Counseling's (NACAC) Fort Lauderdale Performing and Visual Arts College Fair. This must-attend event for all college bound 'artists' is to be held on Monday, September 30, 2013 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is FREE and open to the public.

At NACAC's Performing and Visual Arts College Fairs, students, parents and art institutions take center stage. These fairs allow college-bound students interested in the arts to meet one-on-one with admission representatives from colleges, universities, conservatories, studios, festivals, and other educational institutions with specialized programs in the visual and performing arts.

Students can register prior to attending these events. This makes navigating the fair and collecting information from multiple colleges and universities much easier for students. By registering, students can print a barcode confirmation to be used on-site at the fair as an electronic ID. Register online or via smartphone at go to mypvafair.com.

Attendees learn about educational opportunities, admission and financial aid, portfolio days, audition and entrance requirements, student life, and much more.

NACAC's Performing and Visual Arts College Fairs fill a vital need for the growing number of students pursuing college degrees in the arts. These fairs offer a unique opportunity to get the inside scoop on what it takes to obtain a such a degree.

More than 20,000 students attend NACAC's Performing and Visual Arts College Fairs annually. This fall, NACAC will also sponsor Performing and Visual Arts Fairs in 20 other locations throughout the country, including New York City, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Boston, and debuting St. Louis for 2013!
