Palm Beach Opera Introduces New Happy Hour Series at WPB's EmKo ImagePalm Beach Opera introduces a new Happy Hour Series at West Palm Beach's EmKo, featuring pop-up arias with Palm Beach Opera artists, specialty cocktails, and interactive programming aligned with mainstage productions.

The first of the Happy Hour Series took place on Jan. 9 featuring the company's upcoming production of TOSCA, Palm Beach Opera's first mainstage show of the season. With more than 70 guests in attendance, the first of the new event series was sold-out. Guests included current subscribers, company benefactors, and Palm Beach Opera staff, as well as guests who were new to the art form and the organization.

Designed to attract both opera beginners and enthusiasts, Palm Beach Opera's new Happy Hour Series offers guests an opportunity to learn about upcoming productions in a relaxed, intimate setting, and a chance to sample the music through live opera performed by the company's Benenson Young Artists, who as part of their professional training, perform in special events throughout the region.

Tickets to Happy Hour Series also include a featured production-inspired cocktail, thoughtfully crafted by the Palm Beach Opera team and blended into the educational component. Coupled with the performed arias, the artistic staff shares interesting facts about the upcoming productions along with insight into the music.

Each series is held at EmKo, a three-story building located in West Palm Beach's historic Flamingo Park that consists of collaborative art galleries. The eclectic venue hosts rotating installations, in-house exhibitions, and special events, and is also home to a restaurant, coffee bar, and gourmet market.

Tickets for Happy Hour Series are $15 each and include the entertainment, education, and featured drink in a keepsake glass. EmKo's happy hour menu is also available for purchase. Tickets must be purchased in advance either online at pbopera.org or through the box office at 561-833-7888. Special two for $20 ticket prices are available for PBO Young Friends, members of the company's young professionals group, and must be purchased over the phone. Limited tickets are available.

Remaining Happy Hour Series will take place on Jan. 30, featuring CANDIDE, and Mar. 6, featuring LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. For more information, visit pbopera.org.
