Paige Miles Debuts New Single "LUCKY"

Star of TheatreZone's 'Beehive-the ‘60s Musical!' treats local audiences to live performance of not-yet-released single

Naples, FL: (May 10, 2011) . . . Feeling lucky?

Theatregoers attending TheatreZone's final season production of 'Beehive - the ‘60s Musical!' are certainly feeling lucky. At the conclusion of the musical revue they are treated to a live performance of American Idol Season 9 finalist Paige Miles's not-yet-released single LUCKY.

Beehive is currently playing at the G&L Theatre in Naples until May 15.

According to Mark Danni, founder of TheatreZone and Ms. Miles's director and mentor, the former Community School of Naples graduate returned to her hometown stage to star in Beehive and wanted to share her first single from her future EP release StarDust.

"Paige wrote LUCKY and the Beehive band put together the orchestration with her fellow Beehive girl cast mates singing back-up," explains Danni. "The girls and musicians are so talented that we were able to come together in just two days. We worked through the song once, then told everyone to look at it, and when we came back the next day, it was great!" Danni proudly reports.

Following American Idol, Ms. Miles moved to Los Angeles last year to pursue her singing career and is writing and recording songs, working with noted producers and writers such as Mack McKinney, Davy Deluge, Atozzio and Mandy Ventrice.

According to Paige, she titled her inaugural EP StarDust because it's named after the cosmic particles and the dust that comes from outer space. "I thought it was really cool that there was dust on stars," Paige explains. "You know, stars are fire, and (stardust is) kind of remnants of this big, flashy beautiful thing that's actually quite hot and dangerous. So I really like the actual definition of stardust ... Lots of people think stardust as in celebrity stars. Actually, (my reasoning) was completely scientific," she continues.

On recording in the studio, Paige shares, "It's a completely different experience when it's the studio and you're doing a track and you're dissecting the entire song and kind of doing it piece by piece. Whereas when you're performing live, it's live to the audience, you get the audience's feedback. Studio recording, you're in a room and you're kind of imagining how you would perform it."

Her music is R&B pop, and enthusiasts can check out 95-second snippets of four songs at Soundcloud.com.

In 2005, non-profit TheatreZone was born on two concepts: an affinity and nostalgia for the stage, and for the intimacy of live audiences. Co-founders artistic director Mark Danni and his wife, actress/choreographer Karen Molnar shared a vision and a passion to bring equity professional actors, and produce talented and innovative productions of classic "lost treasures of Broadway."

Operating under the guidelines of the Actors' Equity Association and small professional theatres contracts, TheatreZone is in residence and performs in the intimate 250-seat G&L Theatre housed on the magnificent campus of The Community School of Naples, one block north of Pine Ridge Road at 13275 Livingston Road.
